Luxe Folding Desk

Birthday blog post to remember one of my favorite recent builds!

I had the opportunity to design a compact folding desk for a longterm client of mine.

I built everything in the shop including the brass hardware and leatherwork and took a good amount of creative freedom with the design to fit my clients style.

The design is simple but strong and uses carefully cut lines to not only make the trestle table base look light but adds the lines that make the design feel like mine.

The inspiration for the desk was provided by my client who was able to find a few pictures on #pintrest and send them over to me to see if I was able to replicate the piece for his office.

I found the website where the photos originated, link below. It seems like it was a spec piece for a German furniture school. I want to give credit for the designer but wasn’t sure who to tag so the website will have to do for now!
