Kumiko Panles

I don’t often get to do kumiko work for anything other then enjoyment so when my brother contacted me and asked if I would be willing to build him a set of Kumiko Panels for a wall in his house I jumped on the opportunity.

Kumiko is a Japanese technique of cutting thin strips of wood into complex designs usually for shoji style doors but also for other applications.

Although the process of making kumiko is tedious the end results are well worth the time!
